MPS Shift Light System |

This MPS Shift Light System is made up of quality MSD components and MPS cabling for a reliable, easy to install LED shift light. The MPS Shift Light System uses the new small pen style MSD light with a super bright red LED that will not burn out from vibration. The MPS Shift Light System is available to work on most bikes with no adapters. The MPS Shift Light System can be ordered in 3 different calibrations. Available in 180 degree for most MSD & Dyna Pro 4000 Ignitions, in 360 degree for Dyna S only, stock two coil systems, and stock dual fire Harleys or single fire Harleys with a tach output, and in 720 degree calibration for individual firing four cylinders and single fire Harleys with no tach lead. You will need to know what type of ignition system your bike has to get the correct calibration of your MPS Shift System. Most four cylinder motorcycles use either an individual firing system or a waste spark system. Waste spark is by far the most common. All four-cylinder bikes with only two coils use a waste spark system. Late model four cylinder sport bikes use individual coils for each cylinder. These can be either an individual firing system like Hayabusa, GSXR1000, ZX12, or a waste spark type system even though they have four individual coils. To find out which system you will need to remove all 4 spark plugs. Plug them into their respective coils and turn the motor over. If cylinder #1 fires with cylinder #4 it is a waste spark system. If they fire separate of each other it is an individual firing system. The chart below will help you determine the correct calibration for your bike. |
