Schnitz TPS/Window Switch The 34-TPRS-002-LV Window Switch provides a +12 volt output that is controlled by RPM and/or a 0 to 5 volt signal such as Throttle Position or Gear Position. This unit can be connected to the Gear Position or Throttle Position sensor and/or RPM input to activate a nitrous system. This can be configured to activate a nitrous kit at 8,000 RPM and when the throttle is great than 90%. It will also de-activate the nitrous system when you reach a preset RPM (just before the rev-limiter is recommended). Or, you can choose to activate the system based on gear position. Great for those wanting more consistency or for those who want to wait and have their nitrous kit come on in 2nd or 3rd gear. The Throttle Position Input has been designed to tolerate a +12 volt input signal. The allows a Typical, Mechanical Nitrous Wide Open Throttle Switch to be used with the RPM Window Switch function. (This is recommended for those who want to set this up for gear position activation) Voltage chart for 34-TPRS-002-LV: 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.25, 2.5, 2.75, 3.0, 3.25, 3.5, 3.75, 4.0, 4.25, 4.5, 4.75, 4.9 The TPRS-002-LV has been designed to work with several different types of engines. There are five different RPM Input options for each of the three RPM ranges:
The TPRS-002-LV provides three different RPM ranges:
Dimensions 3"x3.5"x1" Note - The ZX-14 GPS starts with a high volts and decreases with each gear change. The TPS-002-LV can not be connected to the GPS as described above.

This is truly a
Smart Switch! Not only can you
choose between supplying ground or 12 volts to activate a circuit, but you can
do it through the use of a long list of vehicles sensors! As long as the sensor is within 0-5 volts DC with a minimum
signal difference of 0.5 volt, such as TPS, MAP, MAF, water temperature, oil
pressure, boost pressure, etc…the Smart Switch can be used!
Activate a circuit by supplying a ground or a 12 volt source. The switch can be calibrated to ‘learn’ the sensor and it can be programmed to activate at a certain percentage of the sensor’s signal range. Such as activating a nitrous solenoid when the TPS sensor reaches 95% or when the coolant temp sensor reaches a certain level to turn on an electric fan. To assist in setting up the Smart Switch there are two LEDs to alert you when it is in calibration or operation mode. |
